Stirring up memories

There is still a feel of Autumn in the challenge blogs so here is another Autumnal card for the Lacy Sunshine challenge.

Materials used:
Lacy Sunshine Digis – Gusty OakSAM_2274(watermarked)
Copic pens
scalloped oval die
acrylic Autumn Verse stamp
photograph of Autumn leaves
A5 white card blank
oak corner punch
stamping card

Method:
I printed out the image and coloured it with Copics before die cutting it with the scalloped oval die, I then stamped out the verse on a piece of the left over stamping card. I printed out my photograph onto an A4 sheet of card. I cut a strip from the right side of the top flap of the card blank so that the bottom part overhung it. Using the punch I punched the two right hand corners. I cut a panel of the printed photograph to cover the front of the card and a strip to cover the bottom overhanging part. I cut the verse to size and ran a black pen around the edges. Finally I mounted my topper onto the card front using foam pads and stuck the verse on so that it overhung the front panel.

The photograph of the Autumn leaves that I used to make my backing paper was one I took 5 years ago when we went to New England to mark our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Because we had to go in school holiday time (I work in a school) we only caught the tail end of the season so there was not so many spectacular trees. However I did find a pile of leaves which had a lot of colours in so photographed it. I am glad I did because I have used those leaves in a few projects now!

Thank you for visiting. Take care.

Pippa
